Your Acceptance of this Agreement
This is an Agreement between you and all persons you represent (and for purposes of this Agreement referred to as “you,” “your,” or “user” herein) and Giant Bicycle Canada ("Giant" and sometimes also referred to as “us,” “we” or “our” herein) regarding your access to and use of Giant’s giant-bicycles.com/ca website and all content, information, products and services available on or through the website (collectively, the "Website").
Each time you use the Website you signify your acceptance and agreement, and the acceptance and agreement of any person you purport to represent, to be bound by this Agreement as it then reads, and you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to agree to and accept this Agreement on behalf of yourself and any person you purport to represent. If you do not agree with each provision of this Agreement, or you are not authorized to agree to and accept this Agreement on behalf of the person you purport to represent, you may not access or use the Website.
Permission to Use Website
You may use the Website to purchase product only if you are a resident of Canada, have reached the age of majority where you live and you can form legally binding contracts under applicable law. It is solely your responsibility to determine whether your use of the Website is lawful, and you must comply with all applicable laws. Giant reserves the right to request proof of identification and age.
Changes to this Agreement
Giant may, in its sole discretion, change this Agreement from time to time as it relates to future use of the Website, by posting a revised Agreement on the Website. By using the Website after this revised Agreement has been posted, you signify your acceptance and agree to be bound by the revised Agreement. You may not change this Agreement in any manner.
Out of Stock/Backorder
Under rare circumstances, an item may become out of stock before we are able to ship out the order. We will always contact you prior to shipment if this happens and we will try our best to remedy the situation. However, due to limitations, we cannot accept backorders. If you wish to substitute an item you will need to contact us to arrange for a substitute or to cancel your order outright.
Giant Bicycle Canada accepts the following payment methods: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. The billing address you provide must match the billing address that is on file with the financial institution that issued the credit card. If a credit card authorization fails, we reserve the right to cancel your order without notifying you. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve credit card problems with your financial institution if a credit card is declined. It is your responsibility to settle credit card problems with the issuing institution and then place the order again when the problem is resolved.
Currency and Sales Tax
All prices are in Canadian dollars.The amount of tax applied to your order depends on your location. Orders that ship to residences in BC will have both GST and PST applied (if applicable).
Limits of Responsibility
We accept no responsibility for user-initiated damage and/or loss of parts incurred during operation or use of the product.
Price and/or Description Changes
All prices, pictures, and descriptions on this website are subject to change. We maintain no responsibility for inadvertent errors. Please contact us within 30 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies. After 30 days, we are unable to offer refunds, credits or corrections to your order. When you place your order with us, you agree to the price and terms indicated on this website. Price differences related to future or past prices in our store or any other store are not refundable.
Errors on Our Website
Prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where and when discovered. Giant Bicycle Canada reserves the right to revoke any stated offer, cancel orders, and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions in any stated offer or price, including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your payment processed.
If your payment has already been processed for the purchase when your order is canceled, Giant Bicycle Canada will issue a credit to the payment method used in the amount of the charge. Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account.
General Shipping Policy
We reserve the right to ship orders using our choice of carrier, however, the majority of shipments will be made using Purolator and depending on where you live, delivery times for ground service can be up to 5+ business days.
We only ship within Canada, no COD is accepted. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to PO boxes.
Orders for outlying areas may be shipped via Canada Post to make delivery more economical and/or assessed a surcharge after the order has been placed. You will be contacted if a surcharge is required for your order due to shipping.
Business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM excluding statutory holidays. Saturday and Sunday are not included in shipping days.
Orders can only be modified or canceled up until its status becomes “Shipped”. After this point, you must initiate a return if you wish to exchange or cancel your order.
It is your responsibility to ensure the delivery address entered is accurate, and to use the tracking number provided to claim your shipment.
GEAR ONLY Shipping Policy
Gear orders at $70 and above, before tax and any surcharges, qualify for free ground shipping. Certain items such as Trainers and Wheels, while still free to ship, may have an additional overage charge due to their size/weight.
Quoted delivery times for Next Day are based on end-of-day delivery commencing after an order has actually shipped. All Next Day shipments are made using Purolator and cannot be shipped to PO boxes. Certain outlying areas are not within Next Day shipping range, please contact us if you are unsure of whether your destination is within range.
Orders containing the following items always ship separately from remaining order (when applicable) and cannot be shipped "Next-Day";
If you have items on your order that contain any of the above-mentioned items and select “next-day”, only those not listed above will ship next day, while the above item(s) will ship “Ground".
Typically, most orders received by noon, PST, are processed on the same day. All products are shipped from our central warehouse located in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
Any unclaimed Gear orders including delivery refusal or address error and resulting in a shipment being returned to Giant from the carrier are credited upon receipt, less $20 for orders originally sent with Ground service, or $35 for orders originally sent with Next Day service. No "re-delivery" is possible once the order has been returned to Giant from the carrier, you must re-submit your order.
Giant Bicycles reserves the right to cancel an order at any time.
BICYCLE Click and Collect Policy
Bicycle(s) are available online for Pick-Up at an Authorized Giant Dealer only. There is no direct to consumer option available. You will have the option to choose the Pick-Up location from participating Giant Authorized Dealers in your area. Giant will notify you via email when the bicycle is available for pick-up at the Authorized Giant Dealer.
Gear items purchased on the same order and together with a Bicycle will ship ground service to the Authorized Giant Dealer chosen for pick-up. If you prefer direct ship and/or next-day shipping, the gear item(s) must be placed on a separate order.
You agree to pick-up the bicycle at the Authorized Giant Dealer within 7 calendar days following receipt of the email notice. If you are unable to pick-up the bicycle purchased within 7 calendar days, you will need to contact the chosen Authorized Giant Dealer using the details in the Order Confirmation. At the time of bicycle pick-up, you agree to present to the Authorized Giant Dealer, the Order Confirmation and a piece of government-issued identification (such as a valid driver’s license or passport).
You are responsible for shipping charges on a bicycle that is shipped from the Giant warehouse to the Authorized Giant Dealer. Shipping charges vary with the bicycle size as follows:
Standard Bicycle - $25
Oversized Bicycle - $35 (includes all ISP, Glory and Reign models)
Electric Bicycle - $45
Giant Bicycles reserves the right to cancel a Click and Collect order at any time.
GEAR Return Policy
You can return any new, unopened Gear item(s) with all original packaging and/or tags within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We do not charge any restock fee. This excludes any and all Bicycles. See below for Bicycle Return Policy.
Any merchandise that shows signs of use (wear, dirt, smell, scuffing, mounting, installation, etc.) cannot be returned. This includes any items that have been “tested out”. Items for which the packaging has been destroyed are not returnable.
Unless otherwise noted, the refund will be for the full value of the returned items. Shipping and overage fees will not be refunded. Credit for the returned items is applied to the credit card that was used to make the purchase. Returns will be inspected by Giant Bicycle Canada within 72 hours of receipt, depending on your credit card company it may take an additional 2-10 business days before a credit is posted to your account.
To initiate a return, please visit our Contact Us page and select “Sales Return” from the list of options.
Note that you can only create a return after an order has been marked as shipped. All issued RA numbers will be active for 30 days, so please be sure to return any merchandise as soon as possible.
If you intend on simply exchanging a product, once you receive your RA number for the original return, simply place a new order for the exchange item(s). This will enable you to receive your new items as fast as possible.
You have the option of using the return shipping carrier of your choice to return merchandise to us, however, we recommend using a shipping method that is traceable and that provides insurance. Giant Bicycle Canada will not be responsible for lost or stolen “in-transit” items. Any COD returns will be refused.
Alternatively, if you prefer to have Giant provide you with a return shipping label, we will be happy to provide this service at $19.99 per shipment. The amount will be deducted from your total refund.
Please do not tape anything to the product box. Do not use the product box as a shipping container as it will be damaged during transit and rejected by our returns department. You may use the original shipping container.

BICYCLE Return Policy
Bicycle(s) may be returned to the Authorized Giant Dealer at which the bike was picked up from for a refund from Giant Bicycle Canada. The Bicycle must be in NEW condition. Bicycle(s) that show sign(s) of being ridden, including, but not limited to, dirty tires or grips, worn brake pads, scuffed crankarms may not be returned.
For all accepted returns there will be a restocking fee of 15% of the bicycle price. Shipping and overage fees will not be refunded. The refund will be processed by Giant Bicycle Canada within 72 hours of being notified by the Authorized Giant Dealer. Depending on your credit card company it may take an additional 2-10 business days before a credit is posted to your account. Please note: the Authorized Giant Dealer cannot process the refund directly, it must be processed by Giant Bicycle Canada via the same online method as purchased.
Our primary reasons for collecting your personal data are to process your orders for goods from our Site, address enquiries which you may make on our Site from time to time and provide you with the most efficient service possible. We do not anticipate collecting or processing sensitive personal data about you.
Our Site may contain links to other websites. Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites and advise you to read the privacy statements of each website you visit which collects personal information.
Our Policy for Processing your Personal Data
What personal data do we process and where do we get it from?
When you contact us via the “Contact Us” link on our Site or email us, or register on our Site, we will collect personal data from you.
When you contact us over the telephone we may collect personal data from you.
Personal information may also be obtained automatically by your internet browser.
If you place an order for goods and when you subsequently submit payment for that order we will collect personal data from you.
If you request a quotation for goods we may collect personal data from you.
Where you elect to pay for the Goods using Finance, personal data supplied by the Finance Company to enable your order to be processed by us.
The types of personal data which we may collect from you could include, for example, your name, your contact details (such as your address, telephone number and email address), credit card information and other information collected on registration or through the “Contact Us” link on our Site.
What do we do with your Personal Data?
We will process your personal data so that:
we can process your orders for Goods from our Site subject to the terms and conditions of our Site;
we can process any order made by you and arrange delivery;
we can fulfil our obligations to you under any contract for the supply of Goods subject to the terms and conditions of our Site;
we can deal with the general queries you raise from time to time through the “Contact Us” link on our Site, by post, by email or by telephone;

we can process any Notice of Cancellation received, and where applicable inform the Finance Company that the contract for sale has been cancelled.

Where you elect to pay for the Goods by using Finance, the Finance Company will use your personal data:-
to process payment of your order; and
to cancel the credit agreement, where notified by us of the cancellation of the contract for sale, and to arrange any refund with you.
You have the right to object to your personal data being used for ‘direct marketing’ and/or ‘host mailing’ purposes. You can change your options in relation to the information you wish to receive at any time by contacting Giant Canada in writing by post or email.
You have the right to request from us information as to what personal data we are processing about you. Such requests should be made in writing by post or email to Giant Canada and should be accompanied by a $15.00 fee. We will provide you with the relevant information within 40 days of receipt of the fee.
Maintenance of your personal data
We are committed to the security of your personal data. All of our employees and subcontractors with access to your personal data and/or who are associated with the processing of that data are contractually obliged to respect the confidentiality of your personal data.
We have implemented technology measures and security policies to protect the personal data that we have in our control from unauthorised access, improper use, alteration, unlawful or accidental destruction or accidental loss.
