Safety Recall Notice: July 21st, 2025

Dear Momentum Customer,

This important message is with regards to Momentum Vida E+ bicycle purchased through Giant U.K. Ltd. (“Giant UK”), Momentum website or an authorised Giant retailer. While you may have already received communication from your local retailer, we are following up to ensure you are aware of a potential safety issue regarding your Vida E+ bicycle and ask that you stop riding your bicycle immediately.

This issue only affects Momentum Vida E+ model E-bicycles and it only effects a selected number of Momentum Vida E+ model E-bicycles. The following guidance information explains how to determine whether your bicycle is affected or not.

In order to determine if your bicycle is affected you will need to locate the frame number of your bicycle.

The frame number can be found on your bicycle, engraved in the lower left rear dropout or underneath the top tube on a barcode sticker. Looking at that frame number, please use the following information to determine if your bicycle is affected.


Unaffected Forks: Bikes with a frame number in which the third character is E or F are not affected and require no action. You are free to ride your bike.

Forks Requiring Further Inspection: Bikes with a frame number in which the third character is G require additional visual inspection to determine fork status. This visual inspection will be done free of charge by your authorised Giant retailer, who will determine if the fork needs to be replaced.

Affected Forks: Bikes with a frame number in which the third character is H, J or K must have their forks replaced. If the serial number on the steerer tube begins with the character M, it will need to be replaced (however, if the steerer tube serial number begins with an M, but there is a rivet on the back of the fork crown, or if the serial number does not begin with an M, the fork is fine and does not need to be replaced.

Giant UK’s top priority is the safety and satisfaction of our riders. We are voluntarily recalling the affected bicycles so that the fork can be inspected and, if necessary, replaced at no cost to you.

If you own a Momentum Vida E+ model E-bicycle, and after you have checked the frame number on your bicycle as indicated above and found it is affected or potentially affected, or require any further assistance in checking your bicycle, please contact the authorised Giant/Momentum retailer from which you purchased your bicycle to arrange a free inspection and, if necessary, a fork replacement.

Please do not ride your bicycle until you have established, by using the information above that your bicycle is safe to ride, and, if necessary, have had the fork inspected and, if necessary, replaced.
