Momentum Warranty

The following limited warranty applies to all current Giant, Liv & Momentum bicycles manufactured from 2012 onwards. For 2011 and older model bicycles, please consult your owner's manual or contact Giant or your Authorised Giant Retailer for the applicable warranty information.

Giant Bicycle, Inc. does not guarantee individual records of serial numbers. If there is a loss or theft, your personal records will be needed. Please make sure to keep your proof of purchase in case a warranty case needs to be registered.

Important: Please make note of the model name and serial number of your Giant bicycle.

Position of the frame serial number

You will find the frame number of your Giant bicycle on the seat tube, under the top tube, near the bottom bracket shell (crankset housing), on the underside of the bottom bracket shell or on the left rear dropout (rear hub).

In case of difficulties, check with your Authorised Giant Dealer to determine the location of the serial number on your bicycle. Keep your proof of purchase for reference; this record will also help you with any police investigation or insurance claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start a warranty claim?

If you wish to start a warranty claim, please take the bicycle (along with the proof of purchase) to your local Giant retailer. All warranty work has to be through a Giant authorised retailer, so they can advise on the best course of action to getting your issue resolved.

What documents do I need to start a warranty claim?

You just need to take your proof of purchase, along with your bike, to your local Giant retailer. We’d advise contacting the retailer where you purchased the bike in the first instance.

I can't get to my local retailer - can I send a photo instead?

Unfortunately, we are unable to diagnose any issues without physically inspecting the bike itself, therefore it will need to be taken to a Giant retailer in order for a warranty claim to proceed.

Can I take the product to any Giant retailer?

We always recommend contacting the retailer where you purchased the bike from as the original contract of sale is between yourself and them.

Will I be charged for any Giant warranty replacements or labour

No, if a warranty case is approved, we will provide replacement part/s free of charge and the needed labour.

My issue is with a non-Giant branded part on my bike, what do I do?

Any components not manufactured by Giant (Such as Shimano or SRAM drivetrain parts, for example) are covered by their original manufacturer and not through Giant. You can contact your Giant retailer of purchase for assistance in the first place. Please note, warranty decisions cannot be made over the phone or via email, so the manufacturer will need to inspect the part before any decision can be made.
