Important safety recall for 2021 & 2022 Momentum Vida E+ Low-Step E-Bicycles

Momentum is committed to the safety of every rider. We are issuing a voluntary product safety recall for selected 2021 and 2022 Momentum Vida E+ Low-Step E-Bicycles due to a potential safety issue involving the front fork.

Why is this recall happening?

A small number of Vida E+ models may experience a fracture or failure of the steerer tube or fork during use. This defect poses a risk of serious injury if the component breaks and causes a fall.

Is your bike affected?

Please stop riding your bike immediately and check your frame serial number.

Where to find your frame number:

The serial number is engraved on the lower left rear dropout or printed on a barcode sticker under the top tube.

Next, check the third character of your serial number:

If the third character is E or F:
✅ Your bike is not affected. No action is required and it is safe to ride.
If the third character is G:
⚠️ Your bike requires inspection. Please return it to an authorised Giant or Momentum retailer for a free fork inspection. The fork may be replaced depending on the result.
If the third character is H, J or K:
❌ Your bike is affected. Please return it to an authorised Giant or Momentum retailer for a free fork replacement.

What to do next

  1. Stop riding your Vida E+ bike immediately.
  2. Locate your serial number and check the third character as per the table above.
  3. Visit your authorised Giant or Momentum retailer for a free inspection and, if required, fork replacement.
  4. Can’t access a retailer or transferred the bike? Contact Giant at:
